We compare them against the workloads of Kumble and Harbhajan, the first and second spinners for India during the great batting era. Note the significant reduction in workloads for the Indian bowlers. We also plot the workload of a typical spinner (across countries and eras) with a bowling average of at most 32. Despite the average also including data points of spinners operating in SENA conditions, the workload of a typical frontline spinner is more than the average workload shouldered by the Indian spinners in recent times.
